Firearm Estate & Collection Services

Inherited firearms? Managing an estate? We can help you understand your options and handle the process professionally.

How We Can Help

One Gun or a Hundred. We've Seen It.

Handling firearms from an estate or inherited collection can feel overwhelming, especially if you are not familiar with firearms, values, legal requirements, or the selling process.

Scout Outpost by Lincoln City Sporting Goods works with families, executors, trustees, and estate representatives to help review, organize, price, and sell firearms safely and professionally.

We have helped with small estates of 5–10 firearms as well as larger collections with dozens or even hundreds of firearms. Every situation is different, so we encourage you to contact us before bringing items in.

Our team can help talk through what you have, what your goals are, and the best next steps for your specific situation. Depending on the collection, we may be able to help with consignment, direct purchase options, pricing guidance, inventory review, and selling firearms through our trusted local retail process.

"Our goal is to make the process easier, safer, and more organized while helping the estate receive fair value."

The Process

Simple Steps. No Pressure.

01

Contact us first

Call or stop by before bringing firearms to the store. We will help determine the best way to review the collection and answer your initial questions. This is especially important for larger estates.

02

We review the collection

We can help identify firearms, review condition, discuss marketability, and organize the information needed to move forward. No pressure — just a straightforward conversation.

03

We discuss your options

Some estates are best handled through consignment. Others may be better suited for a direct purchase or a combination approach. We will discuss options based on your timeline, collection size, and goals.

04

We handle the sales process

For firearms accepted on consignment, we handle store display, customer questions, required transfer procedures, and communication once items sell.

05

You receive payment

Payout timing and terms will be discussed during the intake process and documented before items are accepted. No surprises.

Who We Work With

You Don't Have to Know Guns to Work With Us.

We work with people who know firearms well and people who have never held one. If you are dealing with an estate or inherited collection, we will meet you where you are and walk you through the process at whatever pace works for you.
